This course is designed for people who are responsible for the care of children and young adults and will provide delegates with the knowledge and practical skills required to be able to undertake moving and handling operations in a safe and effective manner. The course is delivered by our physiotherapist trainers who all have expertise in people moving and handling within the care sector and experience with child care settings. Our trainers will integrate essential musculoskeletal injury prevention awareness with the practical skills training to provide a comprehensive risk management course.

- Anatomy and injury prevention awareness
- Introduction to controversial techniques
- Moving and handling of children techniques and practical skills application
- Hoists, wheel chairs, walking aids, transfer boards and other equipment
- Dynamic risk assessments
