1 Day Fire Awareness Course
This course will train delegates in the fundamentals of managing fire risks in the workplace. They will learn the practical skills and knowledge required to identify fire risks and implement effective controls and evacuation procedures.
The course is designed for key members of staff who are responsible for ensuring the workplace is a safe environment for employees, visitors and the general public.
This course includes:
- Fire safety legislation and regulations and how to ensure compliance
- Combustion – how fires can start and spread
- Ignition sources such as oxygen and fuel
- Fire risks in buildings and how to identify fire resistant and combustible materials
- Means of emergency escape. How to ensure your workplace has adequate and effective escape routes
- Being prepared for an emergency; training, resources, policies and procedures
- Reporting and record keeping procedures, including training records and log books
